Christmas in July Festival returns to The Rocks, bringing a European-style winter market to Sydney for 10 days. Wander through timber chalets filled with festive food, mulled wine and artisan stalls, then cosy up at the firepit cinema or stroll through the festival's magical Snow Lane. With live music, Christmas carols and plenty of winter comfort food, it's one of Sydney's most popular winter events.

Blend Theory Takes Over Cabramatta

Cabramatta | Sunday 12 July


Freedom Plaza is set to come alive as Blend Theory and Seeker Cafe host a community takeover celebrating Cabramatta's culture, creativity and local talent. Expect DJs, coffee, clothing stalls, florists, a photobooth, giveaways and a claw machine packed with prizes from local brands. Best of all, entry is free, making it an easy excuse to spend your Sunday exploring one of Sydney's most vibrant neighbourhoods.

King Street Crawl

Newtown & Enmore | Sunday 12 July


King Street Crawl returns this July, transforming Newtown and Enmore into one of Sydney's biggest one-day live music festivals. With more than 250 acts performing across 40 venues, the festival also features free pop-up events including the Eliza Street Party, all-ages stages, flash tattoos and live performances throughout the Inner West.


Expect a full day of live music, local venues and community events celebrating Sydney's independent music scene.

Skin Deep Flash Tattoo Day

As part of King Street Crawl, Skin Deep Tattoo is hosting a one-day flash tattoo event featuring custom designs from some of Sydney's favourite tattoo artists. Tattoos start from $100, with flash piercings available from $50, before the studio transforms into an in-store live music venue later that evening. Whether you're after fresh ink or just soaking up the festival atmosphere, it's one of the standout events on the day.

Loulou x Whittaker's

Loulou has teamed up with Whittaker's to bring a nostalgic French snack to Sydney for one week only. Le Goûter pairs a fresh baguette with French butter and Whittaker's Hazella chocolate, recreating the classic after-school treat found across France. Available in limited numbers each day, it's a simple, delicious bite that's rarely seen in Australia.

Après Harbour at Pier One

Walsh Bay | Daily This Winter


Pier One has transformed its waterfront into an alpine-inspired winter escape, bringing all the best parts of an après-ski experience to Sydney Harbour. Expect crackling fire pits, faux-fur throws, mulled wine, Wildbrumby schnapps flights served on ski boards and a roaming s'mores trolley, all with harbour views. Add a resident DJ on weekends and you've got a cosy winter hangout without the trip to the Snowy Mountains.

Kirribilli Markets

Kirribilli | Sunday 12 July

 

Kirribilli Markets returns with over 220 stalls spanning fashion, vintage, homewares and artisan finds, alongside food and live music. It’s an easy weekend browse with plenty to eat, shop and wander through across the morning and early afternoon. Proceeds also support the Kirribilli Neighbourhood Centre.

Whale Watching

Across Sydney | This Winter


It's officially winter in Sydney, which means it’s the best time for whale watching! From May to November, around 20,000 humpback whales migrate along the New South Wales coastline. Top spots to catch a glimpse include Barrenjoey Headland in Palm Beach, Fairfax Lookout at North Head in Manly, Gap Bluff at South Head in Watsons Bay, and Bondi Beach.


Get a picnic, a date and maybe a jumper and go enjoy the spectacular sight of these magnificent creatures as they make their journey north.
